At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a key member of our Engines business unit, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for our rocket propulsion systems.

This role requires a strong background in software development, with a focus on creating reliable and efficient code for complex systems. You'll work closely with our team of engineers to develop and maintain test equipment software, ensuring that our rocket engines meet the highest standards of performance and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and coding automated test equipment software to support formal and informal verification of avionics requirements
  • Developing and maintaining user interfaces for running verification tests on engine controllers
  • Establishing and following software development processes to ensure test equipment software is reliable and configuration managed
  • Performing regression testing of test equipment software
  • Using measurement and data analysis to determine root causes for failures in avionics testing

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or aerospace engineering, and 6+ years of software development experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, and C++, as well as experience with Linux operating systems and scripting, is also required.

Desired qualifications include a graduate degree in electrical, computer, or aerospace engineering, experience with Java Script, HTML/CSS, and Rust, and knowledge of software architectural development and design patterns.

At Blue Origin, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $141,480-$198,072, as well as benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, and a 401(k) plan with a company match of up to 5%.
