Lead Technology Project Manager

Finite are working with Defence and Defence Industry to deliver advanced acquisition programs. We require an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our client's functional engineering business line within their Defence programs.
This role involves managing the organisation's engineering works, leading multi-discipline teams and technical staff in the design, development and support of state-of-the-art technologies and improved capability support.
The Engineering Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to elicit and analyse requirements, build and develop capability and provide technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead a multi-discipline team and technical experts to meet current and future capabilities
- Ensure sufficient skilled resources are allocated to meet business requirements
- Manage project needs as set out by the project managers and assign work assignments
- Identify and manage project risks and resolve technical issues across functional domains
- Communicate and collaborate with various teams, functions, customers, sub-contractors and suppliers
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience leading the development and delivery of complex technology and engineering projects; ideally in a Defence setting
- Prior experience leading and managing multi-discipline teams
- Demonstrated experience leading product development, either in a support or sustainment environment
- Formal training Systems Engineering and configuration management experience
- Ability to adjust and adapt to new technology advancements, within agile engineering practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ideally hold an active Defence security clearance or been an eligible Australian to obtain a Defence security clearance
- We supply to many of the country's largest prime contractors, SMEs, PSPs, State and Federal Government organisations
