About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Finance team as a Strategic Reconciliations Specialist. This role will involve supporting the management of supplier-related income (rebates) and ensuring accurate accruals and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
- Manage the rebates and deals management system (RDM), including trading terms and rebate income calculations.
- Work with stakeholders to maintain accurate accruals, reconcile data between systems, and investigate any discrepancies.
- Process rebates and deals in a timely and accurate manner, driving accountability within the merchandise team.
- Maintain General Ledger, Profit Centre, and Allocation records in SAP.
Requirements
- 2 years' experience in financial accounting roles, preferably in retail.
- Experience using SAP is desirable, with strong Excel skills a must.
- Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or nearing completion.
- Good knowledge of technical accounting standards and processes.
- A proactive approach, self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
