We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Support Officer to join our team at St Vincent de Paul. As a key member of our team, you will provide case management and support services to vulnerable families and children, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, counselling, education, and therapeutic interventions to families and children
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the needs of families and children
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and services to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting families
- Provide information and referrals to families and children as needed
- Conduct home visits and other outreach activities to engage with families and children
- Diploma in Family Intervention, Mental Health, Disability, Community Services, or similar
- Experience working in the community services sector, particularly with vulnerable families and children
- Ability to work in a child-centered, family-focused framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive network of relevant agencies and services
