A rewarding career opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will work with families to provide case management and safety planning support. Your role will involve conducting thorough risk and needs assessments, working with families to source safe and sustainable accommodation, and facilitating the provision of safe refuge-based accommodation.
About the role
- This is a part-time maternity leave backfill role (0.7 FTE) until 6 October 2025, with potential for extension.
- You will work 7 business days across each fortnight, with set days that may include some on-call responsibilities.
- Your standard working hours will be 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Your skills and qualifications
- You have a Bachelor/Diploma of Social Work, Psychology or relevant Human Services qualification, and/or significant experience in a similar service.
- You have thorough knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence, including the impact on children.
- You have experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- You have strong teamwork and communication skills.
- You hold a current drivers' licence.
