As a Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in our team responsible for the planning functions of underground operations.

You will be responsible for preparing stope designs, level plan layouts and mining instructions to meet operational mining schedules. Additionally, you will ensure mine plans are completed considering ventilation, infrastructure and paste fill requirements.

Your responsibilities will include developing underground design optimisations, sensitivities and reports, as well as guiding and communicating planning guidance to the Production Team.

To achieve this, you will need to develop infrastructure plans and schedules with due consideration to mining interactions and budget requirements.

A motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic team environment and has strong underground engineering experience is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare stope designs, level plan layouts and mining instructions
  • Ensure mine plans are completed considering ventilation, infrastructure and paste fill requirements
  • Develop underground design optimisations, sensitivities and reports
  • Guide and communicate planning guidance to the Production Team
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
  • Completed WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency or ability to obtain one
  • Strong underground engineering experience, preferably in gold operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim
  • Possess a manual valid Driver's License
