Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating stope designs, level plan layouts, and mining instructions that meet operational mining schedules.
  • They will also be responsible for completing mine plans considering ventilation, infrastructure, and pastefill requirements.
  • An additional key responsibility is preparing underground design optimisations, sensitivities, and reports.
  • The Planning Engineer will develop infrastructure plans and schedules with consideration to mining interactions and budget requirements.
  • They will provide guidance and communicate planning information to the Production Team, assisting with weekly schedule development.
  • The role requires collaboration and coordination across multiple departments.

Requirements:

  • A motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, as well as a safety-conscious individual.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Completion of a WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency, or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong underground engineering experience, preferably in gold operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software such as Deswik and Ventsim.
  • Possession of a manual valid Driver's License.
