The Opportunity
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Bendigo. As a Support Worker, you will be working with our community clients in their homes, providing support with daily living tasks, enabling them to live an independent life. Your work will be centered around the following:
- Providing support in everyday daily activities around the home
- Providing support with hygiene and personal care
- Assistance, support, and chaperoning activities outside the home environment
- Assisting with medication compliance, which may include the dispensation of prescription medication
- Meal assistance, which may include meal preparation
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Providing individualized support to clients in their homes
- Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care and hygiene
- Supporting clients with medication compliance and meal preparation
- Chaperoning clients on outings and activities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Individual Support
- Experience as a Disability Support Worker
- Australian Drivers Licence (P2 minimum), reliable vehicle, and comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS Clearance, First Aid (3 yrs), CPR (12 months), and National police clearance - or willingness to obtain
- Able to work a range of shifts, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts
