Account Development Manager

This role focuses on cultivating key business relationships and driving revenue growth through strategic account planning, relationship development, and sales execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Bid manage 7-8 high-value customer accounts in target markets, creating customized business plans to expand the customer base and implement effective strategies for market penetration. Achieve/exceed sales targets set for the territory/state and country targets. Develop and propose sales targets and growth margins for each account and ensure their achievement.

Establish and nurture long-term customer relationships based on a well-defined strategy. Serve as the primary point of contact for problem resolution and monitor customer claims. Plan, facilitate, and conduct customer negotiations to drive mutually beneficial agreements. Maintain and share detailed knowledge of each customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer drivers, economic trends, and competition.

Coordinate the utilization of internal or external resources to provide value-added services to customers, ensuring efficient marketing communication and effectively communicating the value proposition of the offer to end customers.

Ensure adherence to applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, upholding the core values of safety and integrity.

Requirements:

A tertiary qualification in Engineering or commercial discipline, or recognized equivalent. Minimum 5+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development, preferably in the energy sector, with technical knowledge in HV Energy Sector. Strong understanding of products is highly regarded, along with local market knowledge. Possess excellent communication skills combined with the ability to build lasting relationships.

Pro-active self-starter, excellent negotiator, results-oriented, and driven sales professional. Possess high-level commercial acumen. Hold Significant sales/business development experience within the electrical industry. Specific experience in the utility, transport & mining sectors will be highly regarded. Proven track record in identifying and developing business opportunities and promoting the value-add benefits of technical services.

Proficiency in English communication.
