Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver strategic advice on policy matters impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Queensland.
Analyse complex policy issues, provide evidence-based advice to senior executives and government officials, and develop policy projects that benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Support the development of submissions, briefs and ministerial correspondence, and represent the agency in stakeholder consultations.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Deep understanding of policy development and implementation strategies
- Experience in providing expert advice to senior executives and government officials
- Ability to research and analyse complex policy data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to work effectively in a team environment
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as law, public policy or social sciences
- Proven experience in policy development and implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
