The Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism is responsible for fostering an environment that allows Queensland women to be economically secure. We work closely with other agencies, peak bodies, local leaders, and the community to lift the living standards of Aboriginal communities and Torres Strait Islander communities.
We facilitate an environment where multicultural communities want to call Queensland home by harnessing their skill and expertise and celebrating the cultural diversity of our State.

- Monitor delivery by funded organisations to ensure compliance with contracts, program guidelines, legislation and other departmental requirements.
- Support the management of the financial resources of the program area including assistance with the preparation of budget forecasts, payment processing and expenditure reconciliations.
- Develop positive relationships and engage with other state government departments, other levels of government, the non-government sector and key community stakeholders, to identify and respond to emerging issues, including preparing briefs and correspondence if required.
- Contribute positively to Multicultural Affairs Queensland's team environment by supporting strategic planning, development, communication and engagement functions, sharing knowledge and information and working both autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues.
- Assist in the development, implementation and reporting of strategic projects and initiatives that progress the Government's policy commitment to cultural diversity.
What we are looking for
- Experience supporting grant funding programs in government or community settings.
- Experience with Smartygrants or a similar grant management platform will be highly regarded.
