About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information Management Officer to join our client, a local council in Western Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a close-knit team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Information Management: Implement and maintain records management procedures in accordance with best practice, ensuring the effective management of the organisation's information assets.
  2. Classification and Storage: Classify, capture, and store information in line with organisational policies, ensuring accurate and efficient information management.
  3. Expert Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance on records management practices to staff, ensuring a high level of understanding and compliance.
  4. Initiative Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of information management initiatives, driving business improvement and efficiency.
Requirements
  1. A Certificate IV in Recordkeeping or Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
  2. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Records Management procedures, practices, and policy
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
  4. Experience working in a local government environment (desirable)
  5. Proven experience with TRIM and CM systems is essential
