About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Management Specialist to join our team at the Reserve Bank of Australia. As a key member of our Information Solutions function, you will play a central role in promoting and embedding best-practice information and records management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Electronic Records Management: Manage the lifecycle of the RBA's electronic corporate records from creation and use through to storage and disposal in the agency's centralised EDRMS, Content Manager (TRIM).
  2. Business Classification Scheme and Retention Authority: Lead the review and maintenance of the RBA's Business Classification Scheme (BCS) and Retention Authority (RA) in line with functional requirements.
  3. Information Management Advice: Partner with owners of corporate business systems to provide advice on recordkeeping requirements and capture information management controls and functional requirements.
  4. Staff Support: Support staff in the use of the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) and other information management tools and platforms.
  5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with your team and broader Information Solutions function to align strategically on information management deliverables and engagements.
  6. Policies and Procedures: Contribute to the development and implementation of information and records management policies, procedures, guidelines, and training.
  7. Process Monitoring: Monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the team's processes and engagement program, identifying opportunities for improvement or more in-depth stakeholder engagement.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  1. Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Management or related field.
  2. Records Management Experience: Demonstrated experience and knowledge of records management compliance requirements, including familiarity with the Archives Act 1983.
  3. Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead stakeholder engagements.
  4. Technical Skills: Experience working with corporate record repositories and business systems (e.g. Content Manager, Microsoft 365) with an understanding of their functional information management compliance requirements.
  5. Compliance Knowledge: Experience in interpreting and applying the Australian Government's records management and/or information protection compliance obligations.
