Estimating Professional - Commercial Construction

A skilled estimating professional is required to work in commercial construction. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for the full estimating process, influencing the success of new projects.

  • You will interpret plans, prepare take-offs, source competitive pricing and present accurate quotes.
  • You'll work closely with project managers, site teams and consultants to deliver projects on time and to the highest standard.
About the Role

This role involves reviewing architectural and engineering plans to define project scope, preparing accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labour, materials and subcontractors, sourcing and comparing supplier/subcontractor pricing and assisting in tender submissions and pricing strategies.

Your Responsibilities
  • Reviewing architectural and engineering plans to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for all project elements.
  • Sourcing and comparing pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions and pricing strategies.
  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring budgets throughout projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record in commercial construction estimating, proficiency in industry-leading estimating software and a strong understanding of construction methods, materials and industry pricing.

Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills are essential for this position. Formal training in quantity surveying or construction management is advantageous.
