Senior Corporate Communications Manager (FTC)Equifax North Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaOverviewEquifax is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Communications Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This pivotal role will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive communication strategies across external public relations, executive communications, general corporate communications, as well as supporting brand and internal communication programs.
You will play a critical role in enhancing Equifax's reputation, managing our brand, and fostering strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and employees.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned communications professional to make a significant impact within a global data, analytics, and technology company.What You\'ll DoDevelop and execute the external communications plan and strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders and relevant agencies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Drive effective communication campaigns across both consumer and B2B brands, often leveraging research and Equifax\'s data and insights.Manage proactive media outreach and reactive media queries to secure positive media coverage for Equifax.Lead careful issues management by effectively dealing with media, customers, and local and global stakeholders as required.Prepare and coach key spokespeople, ensuring they are well-briefed, clear on messaging, and effective brand ambassadors.Act as the gatekeeper of Equifax messaging to the market, ensuring thorough assessment before external release.Serve as a trusted advisor to the Group MD and leadership team on all communication matters.Prepare written speeches for the Group MD and other members of the Leadership Team for external events and sponsorships where applicable.Review presentations and positioning statements for external use.Manage communications around Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and work with newly acquired organisations on positioning messaging.Work alongside the Internal Communications Manager to help develop content for local and global internal communications platforms.Be the custodian of the Equifax brand, ensuring adherence to guidelines in both online and offline mediums.Manage various external agencies, including PR, creative, media monitoring and research.What Experience You Need7+ years experience in senior corporate PR and media roles, either agency or in-house.Extensive experience in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies.Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues and crisis communications effectively.Strong media relations skills with a network of media contacts.Experience in coaching and preparing senior leaders for media and speaking engagements.Experience in managing external agencies and budgets.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.What Could Set You ApartFinancial services, technology or fintech experience preferred.A creative mindset with proven experience in newsjacking and identifying timely opportunities.A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business objectives and complex data into compelling communication initiatives.What's in it for you?
