Corporate Communications Manager Position

Equifax is seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Manager to lead and execute comprehensive communication strategies across external public relations, executive communications, general corporate communications, as well as supporting brand and internal communication programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the external communications plan and strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders and relevant agencies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive effective communication campaigns across both consumer and B2B brands, often leveraging research and data insights.
  • Manage proactive media outreach and reactive media queries to secure positive media coverage for the company.
  • Lead careful issues management by effectively dealing with media, customers, and local and global stakeholders as required.
  • Prepare and coach key spokespeople, ensuring they are well-briefed, clear on messaging, and effective brand ambassadors.
  • Act as the gatekeeper of messaging to the market, ensuring thorough assessment before external release.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all communication matters.
  • Prepare written speeches for senior leaders for external events and sponsorships where applicable.
  • Review presentations and positioning statements for external use.
  • Manage communications around Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and work with newly acquired organisations on positioning messaging.
  • Work alongside the Internal Communications Manager to help develop content for local and global internal communications platforms.
  • Be the custodian of the brand, ensuring adherence to guidelines in both online and offline mediums.
  • Manage various external agencies, including PR, creative, media monitoring and research.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years experience in senior corporate PR and media roles, either agency or in-house.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues and crisis communications effectively.
  • Strong media relations skills with a network of media contacts.
  • Experience in coaching and preparing senior leaders for media and speaking engagements.
  • Experience in managing external agencies and budgets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
