Job Title: Placement Experience Officer

The role of the Placement Experience Officer involves engaging with stakeholders and students to create real-world career experiences. This position is based in a dedicated and supportive environment, working on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate student placement lifecycle activities, including allocations and compliance checks.
  • Maintain an understanding of policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes related to professional experience placements.
  • Generate, distribute, and analyze placement statistical information and annual metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the student placement compliance process, ensuring pre-placement requirements are met for students to attend placements in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Provide routine supervision, guidance, and leadership to other Placement Experience Officers as directed by the Sydney Coordinator.
  • In collaboration with WHS staff, adhere to, implement, and respond to WHS policy, procedure, guidelines, and risks to contribute to a safe working environment for staff and students.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a diploma-level qualification in a relevant field with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting the management of student placements or equivalent complex tasks to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including self-direction, prioritization, and initiative to develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience and the ability to take responsibility for initiating, developing, implementing, and evaluating administrative processes within a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously in a team environment, contributing to team planning and shared tasks with confidence and sensitivity.
