The role of a senior social worker is to provide clinical leadership in delivering evidence-based psychosocial interventions for addressing domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect issues.
This position requires a strong understanding of the principles of harm reduction and the ability to work within a medically led multidisciplinary team.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership in the delivery of evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
- Develop and implement high-quality care plans that address the complex needs of clients.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for families and individuals affected by domestic violence, child abuse, or neglect.
- Maintain professional boundaries and ethical practice when working with families and other service providers.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Extensive post-graduate clinical experience in drug and alcohol counseling, as well as in areas such as child protection, domestic violence, and family relationship issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial interventions for addressing domestic violence, child abuse, or neglect issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
