Job Title: Water Systems Expert Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Water Systems Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of water resources in our operations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise on groundwater systems and geotechnical interactions to support site safety and stability.
  • Lead routine monitoring and analysis, including groundwater routines and data management.
  • Scope and coordinate drilling activities and technical studies contributing to mine infrastructure rehabilitation and regulatory processes.
  • Manage and review consultant designs and proposals.
  • Identify geotechnical and hydrogeological hazards, implementing effective risk management controls and response plans.
  • Ensure compliance through trend tracking and proactive response to non-compliance events.
 RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need: 
  • A tertiary degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, Geology or a relevant discipline.
  • Proven expertise in hydrogeology within a mining context, with a strong grasp of groundwater systems and geotechnical interactions.
  • In-depth technical understanding of mining operations specific to the Latrobe Valley.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape governing mining and environmental management in the Latrobe Valley region.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard hydrogeological software tools.
