At Monadelphous, we're committed to delivering exceptional results in the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors. As a Senior Management Accountant, you'll play a vital role in driving our business forward by providing expert financial management and systems support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze overhead costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies to achieve savings.
  • Manage the month-end process, including compiling and reviewing the division's monthly financials, with a focus on scrutinizing variances and identifying trends or irregularities.
  • Compile and present monthly reports and presentations to the Executive Management team, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
  • Review and analyze monthly Divisional balanced scorecards (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Investigate anomalies and communicate with management to resolve issues and improve financial processes.
  • Assist in the annual budget process for the division, working closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and planning.
  • Build strong relationships with other divisions to drive collaboration and improve operational performance.
  • Provide support to Business Services managers on financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, and modeling.
  • Oversee the fixed asset accounting process and internal billing of assets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve and standardize processes and associated systems, ensuring seamless transition and integration value-add to the business and customers.
What You'll Bring:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting, with extensive experience in systems accounting, commercial acumen, and scenario analysis.
  • Certified Practicing Accountant or Chartered Accountant, or working towards these qualifications.
  • Relevant industry experience in the resources, engineering, and construction sectors, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Commitment to quality, with a focus on delivering high-quality work and taking pride in your output.
  • Ability to leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose business problems and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Experience using Microsoft packages, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Willingness to work on a variety of projects and tasks, with flexibility to work irregular hours.
