**Introduction**:
St Francis Xavier's College Hamilton is seeking a Permanent Part-Time (30 hours per week) Administrative Officer to join the team in 2025 to assist with Finance and Compliance.
St Francis Xavier's College, Hamilton, is a comprehensive, co-educational college catering to vibrant young adults across Years 11 and 12 (Stage 6) and moving towards a 7-12 structure by 2027 with the introduction of Year 7 (Stage 4) having commenced in 2024. We are committed to creating a contemporary space that caters to the diversity of its students. Teachers are focused on offering a holistic approach to education acknowledging the mind, body and spirit of students and the importance of each in their development of personal and social responsibility.

Each member of the teaching staff brings with them skills and expertise in their delivery of Stage 6 courses and the requirements of the Higher School Certificate and an understanding of the new Stages 4 and 5 curriculum, while also modelling faith in action by nurturing positive relationships between one another.
**Description**:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The School Administrative Officer provides administrative support to school staff and the school principal. Administrative Officers within the Catholic Schools Office, Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle may be classified as either a level 4,5 or 6. Indicative duties for each of these levels can be found under the leadership framework - Administrative Support.
**Skills and Experiences**:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
- Excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience using initiative and self-motivation in the workplace
- Demonstrated ability in accurately and proficiently performing a wide range of administration tasks
- Intermediate experience and ability to work with various databases, Microsoft office programs and excel
- Demonstrated capacity to organise, prioritise and multitask to meet various deadlines
- An understanding and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work with the capacity and willingness to work in a team environment
- Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category A - Accreditation to Work
- Experience with TechnologyOne or another financial software (Desirable)
- Experience in updating and maintaining WHS calendars and registers (Desirable)
- Ability to assist with the collection of evidence for required compliance tasks (Desirable)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
- Completion of Anaphylaxis training
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
