**Key Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and bake a variety of treats including cakes, cookies, and desserts according to established recipes and techniques.
- Cook cabinet food items such as toasties, salads, and snacks for our customers.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety standards and sanitation regulations.
- Provide detailed guidance to colleagues regarding assembly and heating procedures.
- Oversee inventory levels of baking supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock.
- Collaborate with the cafe manager to refine recipes and enhance the menu.
- Assist in planning production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet customer expectations.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in baking processes, performing routine maintenance and reporting any issues.

**Requirements:**

- At least 2 years of experience in a professional bakery or pastry chef environment.
- Previous experience as a barista is required.
- In-depth knowledge of baking principles, ingredients, and techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with commercial bakery equipment and ability to operate and troubleshoot them effectively is required.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for efficient teamwork in a busy cafe setting.
- Understanding of food health and safety standards is crucial.
