Lead Cafe Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to lead our cafe team. Our goal is to create a workplace that gives back to society by empowering individuals, small businesses, and communities.

Our ideal candidate will be young, energised, passionate, and supported by experienced professionals from coffee, product, business, and software backgrounds.

  • Ensure happiness and effectiveness of cafe staff
  • Maintain and enforce high quality standards across cafe operations in food, drink, and cleanliness
  • Grow the recurring customer base and increase Google rating through excellent service
  • Run shifts, including open and close
  • Maintain and enforce high quality standards across cafe operations in food, drink, and cleanliness
  • Manage orders
  • Assist with barista and food handling responsibilities alongside the team
  • Enhance the cafe experience for customers

About You:

Professional Requirements:
- 1 or more years of recent experience as a cafe manager
- 2 or more years experience as a barista
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety

Nice To Have:
- Certification in Hospitality or related industry.
- Baking or food handling experience.
- IT / programming experience
- Marketing / photography / or writing experience

Personal Requirements:
- Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate long term visa to work in Australia
- Availability to work at least 1 weekend day
- Availability to work shifts from 4:45am to 3:00pm weekdays, and between hours 5am to 5pm on weekends.
- Loves coffee and tea
- Own transport to and from work
