Cafe Operations Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cafe team in achieving excellent performance, including training, rostering, and hiring.
  • Maintain and enforce rigorous quality standards across food, drink, and cleanliness.
  • Manage daily operations, design new processes, and oversee shift schedules.
  • Ensure efficient inventory management, vendor relationships, and supply chain logistics.
  • Develop a profitable menu that meets customer expectations.
  • Promote an exceptional customer experience.
  • Contribute to barista and baking duties alongside the team.

About You:

To be successful as a Cafe Operations Manager, you will require:

  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional listening and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety protocols.

Nice to Have:

  • Certification in hospitality or a related field.
  • Experience in managing cafes, particularly in opening or closing roles.
  • Skills in baking or food handling.
  • IT or programming expertise.
  • Marketing, photography, or writing experience.

Personal Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship or residency with a valid work visa.
  • Availability to work at least one weekend day every two weeks.
  • Flexibility to work shifts from 5am to 2:45pm weekdays and between 5am and 5pm on weekends.
  • A passion for coffee and tea.
  • Access to reliable transportation to and from work.
