Safety Advisor Role

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our Symal Infrastructure team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for promoting safety and bringing your expertise to contribute to our safety culture and standards.

Your Impact
  • Educate employees on industry best practice and safety
  • Develop, maintain, and implement Symal's HSEQ management system
Day-to-Day
  • Provide HSE advice and support to project teams
  • Conduct HSE audits, inspections, investigations, and training/awareness sessions
  • Uphold and communicate HSE standards, implementing strategies to improve HSE performance
  • Assist with the implementation of the HSE Management System and maintaining HSE registers
  • Liaise and provide support to projects to ensure compliance with relevant HSE laws, regulations, company policies, and guidelines
  • Understand and enforce client-specific safety standards and policies
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years' experience as a HSEQ Advisor in the Civil Construction industry
  • Minimum Certificate IV in OHS or higher
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian Safety legislation, standards, and codes
  • Demonstrated ability in advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
