The laboratory is looking for a highly skilled professional to join their team as a Water Laboratory Technician. This role involves sampling and analysis to meet the requirements of the laboratory, including support to the Water and Wastewater team as well as other departments.

  • Working 35 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO
  • Flexible working arrangement

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about water quality and wants to make a difference in the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting samples, performing chemical and microbiological analysis, and reporting results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent work experience
  • Class C (standard) Driver's Licence
  • Relevant experience in a similar role at a NATA accredited laboratory

Key Responsibilities

  • Chemical and microbiological analysis of water and wastewater samples
  • Collection of samples including preservation and pre-treatment
  • Data entry and reporting of results
  • Equipment and instrument validation, calibration, and maintenance

Working Arrangements

Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.00pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines. The exact times can be negotiated with the supervisor.
