About Us

Vera Therapeutics, Inc. is a late-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing treatments for serious immunological diseases.

Our mission is to advance treatments that target the source of immunologic diseases, aiming to change the standard of care for patients.

Our lead product candidate, atacicept, is a fully humanized fusion protein administered as a subcutaneous injection once weekly that blocks B-cell Activating Factor (BAFF) and A Proliferation Inducing Ligand (APRIL), which stimulate B cells and plasma cells to produce galactose-deficient Ig A1 (Gd-Ig A1) and associated autoantibodies.

Vera is also exploring the potential of atacicept in other immunologic disorders.

Additionally, we are developing MAU868, a monoclonal antibody designed to neutralize infection with BK Virus, a polyomavirus that can have devastating consequences in certain settings, such as kidney transplant.

Job Summary

The Vice President, Marketing will report to the Executive Vice President, Commercial, and be responsible for developing and overseeing all marketing strategies, branding initiatives, and communication efforts to drive awareness, demand, and market growth for our products.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering marketing excellence across different segments and therapeutic areas and a deep commitment to developing people.

This high-visibility position offers the opportunity to build and lead a marketing team and play a key role in the Commercial Leadership Team.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the creation and successful execution of a long-term brand vision and strategy informed by robust insights (customer, patient, competition/future landscape).
  2. Build a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  3. Ensure alignment between marketing, sales, development, medical affairs, and other groups to drive success.
  4. Develop an evidence-based plan, informed by market research and advisory boards to identify core customer needs and key leverage points.
  5. Lead the development of brand guidelines and ensure they are applied across all marketing and communication channels.
  6. Utilize market data and customer insights to guide product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies.
  7. Oversee digital marketing efforts including content marketing, social media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM, and other online initiatives to drive engagement.
  8. Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient and optimized marketing mix.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

15+ years of experience in biopharma marketing leadership.

Experience in market access and/or sales is highly desirable.

Proven track record of developing successful strategies for high-value biologics, gene therapies, or specialty drugs.

Experience in competitive markets required.

Demonstrated success with launching products.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Expertise in all aspects of the key marketing and sales channels.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
