About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to provide high-level technical expertise and strategic guidance to our corridor management activities. You will oversee road corridor activities in the Wide Bay/Burnett District, ensuring compatibility with transport planning and operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage development control, access control, ancillary works, and encroachments control services, ensuring seamless integration with transport planning and operations.
  • Lead the corridor management team, collaborating closely with advisors and key stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Provide technical advice on assessment of development applications and road corridor management issues impacting state-managed transport corridors.
  • Support planning and design suitability, material selection, resource allocation, and construction practices, promoting efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Supervise resource allocation, foster a positive attitude towards achieving organisational objectives, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, including political and high-risk matters, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
Qualifications and Conditions
  • A four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from a Washington Accord accredited institution or equivalent assessed by Engineers Australia.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
  • Current car driver's license.
  • Criminal history check prior to appointment.
