The successful candidate will oversee road corridor activities in the Wide Bay/Burnett District, applying high-level engineering expertise, leadership, and guidance to ensure impacts of developments are minimised and compatible with transport planning and operations.
- Manage and provide technical direction to development control, access control, ancillary works, and encroachments control and services liaison activities to optimise outcomes and support responsible decision-making.
- Lead the corridor management team in close collaboration with advisors and other key stakeholders.
- Provide technical, legislative, and policy advice on assessment of development applications and road corridor management issues impacting state-managed transport corridors.
- Offer guidance on planning and design suitability and options, materials, resources, components, quality, environmental aspects, and construction practices.
- Lead and manage operational aspects of the corridor management team to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary to support effective decisions and actions.
- Supervise and coordinate resource allocation to promote organisational objectives.
- Identify and manage networks and alliances of stakeholders, addressing expectations and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- A four-year Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- Current holder of car driver's licence.
- A criminal history check prior to appointment due to sensitive data access.
