This position provides an exceptional opportunity for professional development, leadership, and technical expertise. As a Principal Engineer, you will oversee road corridor activities, providing high-level engineering guidance and direction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide technical direction to development control, access control, ancillary works, and encroachments control services.
  • Lead the corridor management team in close liaison with advisors and other key stakeholders.
  • Offer expert advice on assessment of development applications and road corridor management issues.
  • Support planning and design suitability, materials, resources, components, quality, environmental aspects, and construction practices.
  • Maintain operational efficiency by effectively utilizing systems and processes.
  • Safeguard all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, encourage teamwork, and foster a positive attitude towards organizational objectives.

Essential Requirements:

  • A four-year Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
  • Current car driver's licence.
  • Criminal history check prior to appointment.
