Job Title: Electronic Device Repair Specialist

This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices, with a focus on medical electronics. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills and knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General troubleshooting and problem solving to effect repairs
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with Digital and Analogue PCB assemblies
  • Assemble and test PCB assemblies used in medical electronics incorporating thru hole and surface mount components
  • Troubleshoot and repair to the component level
  • Assisting investigation of electronic components for Root Cause Failure Analysis
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-year College Associate Diploma in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • IPC-A 600, 610, 7711/772 Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Technical Skills:
  • Excellent soldering skills: pin hole, surface mount, ball grid array, reflow
  • Knowledge in the use of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscope, digital volt meter, function generator, Safety Analyzer, Power Supply
  • Strong knowledge of electronic principles and ability to read electronic schematic diagrams
