Wildlife Care Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Wildlife Care Professional to join our team at the Sydney Aquarium. As a Wildlife Care Professional, you will play a vital role in connecting guests with wildlife through creating and maintaining engaging displays, delivering memorable guest experiences, and ensuring best-practice animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain engaging world-class displays that showcase our amazing animals.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences that inspire conservation and sustainability.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of animal care programs that promote best-practice animal welfare.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless animal care and display operations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an animal care role, preferably in a zoo or aquarium setting.
  • Demonstrate a passion for guest experience, education, and connecting people with sea life, sustainability, and conservation.
  • Flexibility and ability to cope with frequent and unpredictable changes to daily routine and workloads.
  • Ability to take initiative, work unsupervised, assess tasks, and set priorities for self.
  • Current (or willingness to obtain) NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Full NSW Driver's License.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Current First Aid / CPR.
  • Tertiary qualifications in animal care.
