Wildlife Care Professional
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Wildlife Care Professional to join our team at the Sydney Aquarium. As a Wildlife Care Professional, you will play a vital role in connecting guests with wildlife through creating and maintaining engaging displays, delivering memorable guest experiences, and ensuring best-practice animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain engaging world-class displays that showcase our amazing animals.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences that inspire conservation and sustainability.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of animal care programs that promote best-practice animal welfare.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless animal care and display operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in an animal care role, preferably in a zoo or aquarium setting.
- Demonstrate a passion for guest experience, education, and connecting people with sea life, sustainability, and conservation.
- Flexibility and ability to cope with frequent and unpredictable changes to daily routine and workloads.
- Ability to take initiative, work unsupervised, assess tasks, and set priorities for self.
- Current (or willingness to obtain) NSW Working with Children Check.
- Full NSW Driver's License.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Current First Aid / CPR.
- Tertiary qualifications in animal care.
