Career Opportunity: Wildlife Conservation and Guest Experience

Are you passionate about wildlife conservation and delivering exceptional guest experiences? We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Keeper role, working across WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.

This dynamic position involves creating engaging displays and memorable experiences for over a million guests annually. You will be responsible for ensuring best-practice animal welfare, connecting guests with wildlife through interactive experiences, and promoting sustainability and conservation.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual with experience in animal care, preferably in a zoo or aquarium setting. A tertiary qualification in animal care and/or biology is highly desirable.

  • Tertiary qualifications in animal care and/or biology.
  • A passion for wildlife conservation and guest experience education.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, adapt to changing situations, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently, take initiative, and assess tasks and priorities.

We also prefer candidates with current First Aid / CPR / Oxygen Administration certifications and experience in training animals using positive-reinforcement techniques.
