We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at Monash University, working on a cutting-edge project in microcomb optical communications. This project aims to develop new technologies to support the increasing demands of the internet, enabling the transmission of vast amounts of data through optical fibers.

About the Project

The project focuses on probing the limits of optical microcombs for carrying data. Optical microcombs are a newly invented source of light, producing a precise rainbow of laser-like lines. By imprinting different data streams onto each line, communication bandwidths of many terahertz can be supported by a single compact light source.
