We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at Monash University to work on a project focused on using optical microcombs to provide novel ways to support efficient optical communication systems.

About the Project

The project aims to continue to push the envelope of what can be done with microcombs to make communications systems more efficient. Our research activities provide a platform for establishing a thriving educational enterprise and our staff are committed to creating a dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on optical microcombs and their applications in efficient communication systems
  • Develop and implement novel methods for using microcombs to support optical communication systems
  • Collaborate with local academics and international industrial partners to advance the project

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
  • Strong background in optics, photonics, and/or communications engineering
  • Excellent research and analytical skills

What We Offer

  • A PhD scholarship with a stipend of $35,013 p.a. (tax-free)
