We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at Monash University and contribute to the development of optical microcombs for breakthrough science.
About the Project
Our research aims to explore the limits of optical microcombs for carrying data, with a focus on developing new technologies to support the increasing demands of the internet.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in optical transmission systems and become an expert in the physics of optical microcombs, telecommunications systems based on combs, and data processing of these systems.
- Collaborate with international academics and industry partners to advance the field of optical microcombs.
- Develop skills in state-of-the-art optical transmission systems and become an expert in the physics of optical microcombs.
About the Scholarship
The scholarship is $35,013 p.a. (tax-free), with top-ups potentially available. Tuition fees are waived by Monash.
Requirements
- Applicants should have a background in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Applicants should have a strong academic record, with a GPA of >80% or equivalent.
