Job Summary

A seasoned Mine Manager is required to oversee mine operational activities, support project deliverables, and lead a team towards operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations teams, driving production and performance with a strong collaborative style.

  • Take responsibility of all mine operational activities.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations teams driving production and performance with a strong collaborative style.
  • Support the execution of mine operational deliverables.
  • Manage the performance of the mining contractor to ensure delivery of critical safety and operational targets.
  • Build flexible teams that embrace change through your strong leadership skills.
  • Think strategically and act tactically, managing and negotiating stakeholder expectations.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Queensland First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency for Underground Metalliferous Mines or ability to obtain.
  • Proven leadership experience in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and surpassing production targets.
  • Significant Underground Mining experience.
  • Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering, or similar qualification.
  • Contractor and commercial management experience.
  • Exposure across Mine Design and Planning.
  • Extensive experience across mining production mine management.
  • Strong financial exposure across cost control and budgeting.
