Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join our team on a water project. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety and environment (HSE) excellence of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HSE standards and procedures that align with compliance and due diligence requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports and provide recommendations to senior management to improve HSE performance.
  • Motivate and educate BMD employees on best practice use of HSE systems.
  • Develop work method statements, project plans and inspection and test plans.
  • Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • A qualification in work health and safety (minimum of Certificate IV).
  • Knowledge of current legislation, standards and industry requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Safety Management role on civil infrastructure projects.
Desirable Skills
  • Qualifications in training and assessment.
  • Previous experience in water projects.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
