Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled breakfast chef to join our kitchen team in Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality breakfast dishes, including eggs, pastries, and other menu items.

The Palomar's menu draws inspiration from Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Levant, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef in a breakfast or high-volume kitchen.

They will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and plating consistently high-quality dishes;
  • Working closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth early operations;
  • Keeping their section clean, organized, and prepped for the next shift;
  • FOLLOWING food safety and hygiene standards;
  • Assisting with training and supporting junior kitchen staff where needed.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef in a breakfast or high-volume kitchen;
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work clean, stay focused and stay ahead;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff and other departments.
