Financial Markets Analyst

An experienced investment professional is sought by a prominent equity fund manager based in the Sydney CBD. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for financial markets, coupled with solid analytical fundamentals and a long-term perspective.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct bottom-up research on listed companies across various sectors to identify opportunities for growth and investment.
  • Support due diligence, financial modelling, and valuation of public and private market opportunities to inform investment decisions.
  • Maintain a keen eye on existing portfolio positions, providing valuable insights to optimize capital allocation and drive returns.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment memos and contribute meaningfully to investment committee discussions.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4-7 years' experience in equity research, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.
  • Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
  • A genuine passion for business, investing, and value creation, underpinned by a strong academic record.
