About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our investment team. The analyst will play a key role in supporting the portfolio manager by identifying, researching, and evaluating public equity investments for a long/short strategy. This role requires a strong understanding of financial analysis, business models, and market dynamics, as well as the ability to develop differentiated investment theses and communicate them clearly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fundamental research on potential long and short investment opportunities across various sectors within a specific coverage universe.
  • Build and maintain financial models and valuations.
  • Perform industry and competitive analysis to identify secular trends and company-specific drivers.
  • Monitor existing portfolio positions and recommend adjustments based on changing company or macro fundamentals.
  • Generate actionable investment ideas with clearly articulated theses, catalysts, and risk/reward profiles.
  • Participate in management meetings, earnings calls, sell-side conferences, and other industry events.
  • Write internal research notes and produce client presentations.
Qualifications
  • Must have: 3–5 years of relevant experience in equity research ("Sell Side") or funds management ("Buy Side").
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial statements.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to think independently and challenge consensus views.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Preferred Attributes
  • Prior experience in long/short equity strategies.
  • Familiarity with data platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar tools.
