Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Project Manager to join our team at Charterhouse. As a key member of our Operational Technology team, you will be responsible for managing SCADA projects from initiation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning:
    • Develop project briefs, budgetary estimates, and business cases for SCADA capital programs and oversee their approval and funding release.
    • Prepare SCADA project scopes of work in consultation with customers, including Water and Environmental Services and Infrastructure Delivery.
    • Collaborate with Corporate Procurement on OT project tenders.
  • Project Control:
    • Manage SCADA project delivery, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
    • Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, making adjustments as necessary.
    • Coordinate interactions between multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and resources.
    • Monitor project progress, participating in regular meetings and reviewing status reports.
    • Review project Early Warning Notices (EWN) and Compensation Events (CE).
  • Project Coordination:
    • Foster collaboration between Water groups, Water business systems, and processes, as well as Regional Delivery Consortia.
  • Project Administration:
    • Process monthly progress claim invoicing from SCADA service providers.
    • Prepare approval memos, such as single-source memos and Compensation Event approval memos.
    • Compile reports on financial expenditure.
    • Perform project administration tasks, including project creation, forecasting, project status reports, capitalization, and closure.
    Requirements
    • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (engineering, project management) or a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Strong knowledge of SCADA systems in the Water and Wastewater industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to oversee the management of diverse SCADA projects.
    • Experience in site investigations to determine SCADA/IICATS requirements.
    • Experience in business case preparation.
    • Proficiency in using Corporate Business Information systems to record, interrogate, and report information, including the Department's BxP implementation of SAP.
