Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Project Manager to join our team at Charterhouse. As a key member of our Operational Technology team, you will be responsible for managing SCADA projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning:
    • Develop and manage project briefs, budgetary estimates, and business cases for SCADA and IICATS capital programs.
    • Collaborate with customers, including Water and Environmental Services and Infrastructure Delivery, to define project scope and objectives.
    • Prepare tender documentation and work with Corporate Procurement on OT project tenders.
  • Project Control:
    • Oversee SCADA project delivery, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
    • Manage interactions between multiple projects, prioritizing tasks and resources as needed.
    • Monitor project progress, participating in regular project progress meetings and reviewing project status reports.
    • Review project Early Warning Notices (EWN) and Compensation Events (CE).
  • Project Coordination:
    • Foster collaboration with other Water groups, Water business systems, and processes to facilitate project delivery.
  • Project Administration:
    • Process monthly progress claim invoicing from SCADA service providers.
    • Prepare approval memos, such as single source memos and Compensation Event approval memos.
    • Compile reports on financial expenditure.
    • Perform project administration activities, including project creation, forecasting, project status reports, capitalization, and closure.
    Requirements
    • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (engineering, project management), or minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Strong knowledge of SCADA systems in the Water and Wastewater industry.
    • Demonstrated ability in overseeing the management of diverse SCADA projects.
    • Experience in site investigations to determine SCADA/IICATS requirements.
    • Experience in business case preparation.
    • Proficiency in the use of Corporate Business Information systems to record, interrogate, and report information.
