Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Onsite Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory team in providing high-quality, independent coal analysis and services.

  • Oversee daily operational requirements, including shift coverage as required;
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of production and project sample collection and analysis;
  • Achieve effective communication with all internal and external customers and coordinate between departments;
  • Maintain site policies and procedures at all times;
  • Implement document control within the department and conduct asset stocktakes.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Leadership: Ensure seamless laboratory operations, managing a team to achieve highest quality results.
  2. Reporting and Analysis: Oversee accurate and timely reporting of production and project samples, ensuring data integrity and quality.
  3. Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers, delivering exceptional service and support.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain site policies and procedures, adhering to regulatory standards and company protocols.
  5. Document Control: Implement robust document control systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in leading teams and supervising staff;
  • Standard 11 certification or ability to obtain;
  • Mathematical/Analytical principles and proficiency in MS Office, including basic spreadsheet skills;
  • Knowledge of coal laboratory operations and familiarization with analytical techniques;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
