Job Title: Inventory Controller

Miller Leith is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join their team. As a key member of the supply chain team, you will be responsible for overseeing all inventory management functions across national operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the entire inventory control process across multiple sites nationwide.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels, reduce waste, and minimise holding costs.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate inventory data.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and manage stock discrepancies.
  • Analyse inventory trends and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to forecast demand and plan inventory needs.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems – QAD/MFG PRO or Netsuite highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, BRC).
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant qualifications in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
