Aged Care Support Role

As an Aged Care Support Assistant, you will provide individualised support to older Australians in their own homes. This enables them to continue living independently and maintain their quality of life.

You will travel between clients' homes, requiring a willingness to travel. You will be reimbursed for kilometres travelled while working.

Work Arrangement

This is a part-time opportunity with flexible shifts between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may also be required. There are no evening or overnight shifts involved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with domestic duties such as light house cleaning and meal preparation
  • Provide personal care including showering, daily hygiene and monitoring health and wellbeing
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities
  • Support clients with daily tasks and routines
  • Develop positive relationships with clients and their families
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
  • Effective communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the community
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (obtained prior to employment)
