The Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Development Specialist to join our Product Development team at Vow. This is a three-month contract position with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for assisting in the development of new food products, from concept to launch. Your primary focus will be on preparing ingredients, formulations, and equipment setups to ensure seamless preparation of food/product prototypes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients, formulations, and equipment setups for food/product prototypes.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of experimental methodologies and outcomes.
  • Plan, review, and execute experiments, interpreting and sharing data with the team.
  • Assist with basic experimental troubleshooting and contribute to the development of new recipes.
  • Support the team in the pilot plant and production facilities as needed.
  • Perform general culinary lab upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for food and culinary innovation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and learn quickly.
  • An understanding of food application and recipe development.
  • Success in a prior role requiring hands-on execution of tasks and attention to detail.
  • A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Materials Science, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
