Drive Transformation as a Senior Procurement Leader


We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team, where you will play a key role in driving transformation and delivering innovative solutions that drive business value.


This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic procurement leader to facilitate strategy development and execution, sourcing, and supplier partnership for a designated portfolio, and contribute to global strategies that drive competitive advantage.


The Role

This role involves developing and implementing local procurement category strategies, supporting the development of global strategies, and executing procurement category strategy project pipelines.


  1. Develop and Implement Local Procurement Category Strategies: Work with local stakeholders to develop and implement procurement category strategies that align with business needs and strategic objectives.
  2. Execute Procurement Category Strategy Project Pipelines: Manage the project pipeline, including creation of sourcing strategies, internal needs assessment, market assessment, management of sourcing events, leading negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting cycles.
  3. Build Market Intelligence: Develop and maintain market intelligence to understand cost drivers, inflation development, market dynamics, and opportunities for innovation or other business benefits.
  4. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with local and global stakeholders to collate and align mid-and-long-term strategies based on business needs and strategic objectives.
  5. Manage ESG and Productivity Projects: Define and manage annual ESG and productivity projects related to category goods/services in collaboration with procurement operations and functional counterparts.
  6. Lead Supplier Relationship Management: Lead supplier relationship management (SRM) and supplier development programs in partnership with key stakeholders and strategic suppliers to deliver on strategic agenda and drive competitive advantage.
  7. Measure and Manage Category Performance: Measure and manage procurement category performance against business needs.

About You


We are looking for a results-driven procurement professional with proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing/industrial environment.


Key qualifications include:


  • Tertiary qualified
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and business procurement systems
  • Proven experience in managing and executing procurement category strategies, leading RFX and negotiations, contract development and execution, stakeholder engagement, and supplier relationship management
