Role Overview:
The Senior Construction Procurement Officer will work closely with project managers to provide expert advice on public construction and goods & services procurement processes, negotiations, approval frameworks, and control gates to internal clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert guidance on procurement best practices.
- Maintaining accurate records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and departmental policies.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
- Promoting a partnership approach with industry stakeholders.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Reporting on project progress and providing support as needed.
Requirements:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- A valid work permit or visa.
- An ability to demonstrate how actions impact clients and the department's delivery of effective support and services.
