Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Griffith University. As a key advisor to the Vice-Chancellor and the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term financial viability of the University.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice on financial, accounting, taxation, procurement, capital, and operating budgetary/resource allocation matters. You will lead the finance and resource management function, ensuring the University's financial resources are managed prudently and effectively.
As a member of the Corporate Services Executive Team, you will work collaboratively with senior leaders to provide high-quality and effective financial and business services to meet client expectations. Your ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the University and experience in managing planning and budgeting, investments, financial and management accounting, taxation, and systems development are essential.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a CA or CPA and extensive executive leadership experience. You will have highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, as well as a proven track record of leading high-performing and outcome-focused teams.
